Connector for USB

Hi,

Is there anything out there that would allow you to connect to the ipad and display files via USB? For example if I had a movie on a pen drive is there any sort of connector that I could plug this into to get it to play on the IP2?

Not at the moment, I am afraid.

That is only possible with a jail broken device. Once jail broken, you would need the Camera Connection Kit, to be able to connect a USB device and also the ifile app, which provides you with file management.

However, since the iPad 2 has no publicly available jailbreak, will the above method not work, yet.

Thanks for the quick reply. It does suck that you can't do that. I've been hearing about the jailbreak recently - is there much risk in doing it?

Once a jailbreak from the dev team will be released, there is little to no risk in doing so. A jb can always be undone. However, as there is no iPad 2 jb, this is sadly all hypothetical.
