Connector wriring

I could use some help with a hardware hack. I'm trying to find out how the connector is wired on the IPAD 3. What I'm actually trying to accomplish is feeding a live external video signal into the IPAD3. I already hnow we can get a signal out. What I'm trying to do is use the IPAD as a video monitor for an external camera. We were able to do it with the IPAD2, but the IPAD3 uses a different connector.

I have read that the Apple connector does not have a video in pin(s). How were you able to do it with an iPad 2?
