Constant download errors when downloading movies via iTunes

I've been trying to download Robin Hood from iTunes now for nearly 24 hours. The download has started and progressed some, but keeps stopping with "download error; try again." I tap "retry" and it re-starts, but then inevitably the error message pops up again. Help! Total newbie. P.S. I'm using cable broadband.
