Control video via iPad 2

Hi everybody!

I've been searching throughout the web for a program that could control video via iPad 2. What I mean with "control" is that I want to be able to chop it up, reverse it, play it, have different cuepoints in the video, whatever - all in real time. The reason for this is I'm arranging a dance event and some DJs are playing, but they're not VJs (Video Jockeys), but we still want the visual side of it. Therefore, we don't want the audio and video to be connected at all, apart from the bpm. The "cutting up part" needs to be on time (or at least it would be cool if it was). I want to be able to do something like this,but live.

I'm not sure if I'm putting it right but I hope you get the general idea of the program. Is there any program out ther that does this? The thing with having it on the iPad is being able to use the touchscreen and so fourth.

Hi there and welcome.

Ivj may do what you want but as an iPhone app it won't look great on the iPad screen, I don't know of any others which is a bit disappointing having done a bit of dj/vj'ing myself. I used a MacBook and an nuvj from numark which produced great results.

There is lots of good advice and info on here plus plenty of members all too willing to help with any problems.
