Convert raw photos to jpegs on iPad 2

I use the camera connection kit and successfully send raw photos from my Canon camera to my iPad 2. Now what I want to do is simply convert selected raw images to jpegs so that I can email small images to my friends that do not have raw converters. I also want to keep my original raw image as a backup to my camera for later when I get home so I can use them inside Photoshop. How do I do this?

Have a look at the PhotoRaw app in the app store, it seems to do what you want.
