Copying DVDs to iPAD

Someone kindly gave me a Guide to iPad2. Reading through it I found info on how to rip Movie DVDs to watch on your iPad in Mac OS X. I have a PC. Can it be done from a non-Apple computer?

There are lots of programs out there, some of them free some of them not. I personally use DVD43 and Handbrake; DVD43 removes the blockers from the DVD and Handbrake converts it to a file the iPad recognizes. Both are free and can be found by doing a google search.

Not free, but I chose iPad Magic. It does it in one step, with only having to use one piece of software. So far its working well, and is very simple to use.
