Today may be iPad launch day, but there’s still time for one more rumour, and this one is a really good one! According to a story on Pocket-lint, a company called Senseg has sort of led them to believe, in a round-about way, that Apple might be using their revolutionary new haptic touch technology for the iPad. AppleInsider, also reporting on the story, says that Senseg’s technology uses electrical fields to change the surface of a touchscreen device such as an iPad to feel context-sensitive textures. So for example, if something rough is on the screen, it will actually feel rough to the touch, or smooth, depending. Other reports, such as one in the Guardian, have also mentioned that an iPad with this incredible Senseg touch technology could well be Apple’s secret weapon that has managed to remain pretty secret until now. Many have cited the fact that the invitation to today’s next-gen iPad launch referred to something that the invitees “really have to see. And touch.â€[/FONT] Could this be a clue?! We'll know in just over two hours' time!
