Credit card on file?

My credit card expired and I'm unable to download NEW APPS from the app store. Well ok...but what pisses me off is any app in my purchace history is blocked aswell? Why?

Try this link Your Account & Apple ID - Apple Store (UK)
I realise it is for the UK but may help. Pay attention to where it says to have Express Checkout turned off if you need to update your cc details.
