Customizable calendar/task app that syncs with outlook PC

I am new to the iPad experience and am looking for a customizable calendar/task app that will sync with my iPhone and my PC. I use Outlook on my PC and need to find an application that will seamlessly integrate and share the data between all three....and do not like the lack of customization in the iPad/iPhone calendar and tasks. Does anyone have a suggestion or experience with an app that will accomplish this? I make a lot of notes in my calendar entries and need to be able to retrieve them from Outlook
at the PC.....
