Cydia wont open after jailbreak!!

Hi everybody,
I`m new to the forum, would like to thank everyone for all the information on this site.

I am totally new to Apple and have been reading everything I can on the forum.

I bought an Ipad 2 with 5.0.1 software on it so I decided to jailbreak it with absinthe 4.

It all went well until I tried to press the Cydia button but it wouldn`t open. I have searched and searched for a solution but cannot find one, can anyone help please?
I`ve tried to reinstall but it wont because its already jailbroke.
