decent IM app?

just got my lovely ipad2 16g with wifi and was looking for a good IM app

just done a search on the net and there doesnt really seem to be much out there :/

im trying imsn free and that doesnt seem to have setup to do that

Pull it up on the AppStore, yes but it's $9.00 bucks
I use text now free if you can handle the advertisement scroll on tho bottom.
You get use to it imo

I am using IMt nice layout on the iPad and it's free.

IM+ is another great multimessenger. The pro version may be a little expensive for $9.99, but the free version has almost the same features though no chat history. Anyone, the app does have push notifies, for up to 7 days.

But i have been told, that IMO is a great free messenger. YMMV

I have been using IM+ for a while now and am happy with it so far.
