Delete paused app

I tried downloading an app and now it's paused and I don't know how to delete it. I know that if I hold the app it shakes and you can chose "x" to delete but nothing showing up on paused please help me clean up my apps!!!

turn off device and turn on,had the same.
hope it helps

I went to an iPad workshop and to get rid of a paused app you tap it it finishes loading then you can delete it.
