Deleting Photos

I am back at the behest of my wife, for whom the ipad was purchased. She, and I, cannot seem to delete the duplicates that are in her photos file. I have check marked the photos, but when I attempt to press delete, nothing happens.
Again folks, I am at your mercy. All positive suggestions are welcomed.

photos sync to the ipad cannot be deleted on the ipad.
you have to delete them on itunes , then sync.
only pics that you save (save images) while using ipad can be deleted.

You can't delete photos on the stock photo app unless they're on the camera roll album. To delete the others, you have to delete on computer and resynch your iPad.

On a Windows PC I just use Windows Explorer and go to my iPad (connected via USB of course) and then delete the photos I want removed.

any photos I take with IPAD go directly to my pc....

I am just learning the IPAD and am so confused lol

Photoalbums+ for iPad - create folders within the native photos app,
and optionally password protext them, without iTunes sync (via OUTL4W)

i got it at cydia. it's a paid app... i think you'll like it... have some comments though on the password-protected folders

oh, it can delete photos, as well... very useful for one who doesn't sync at all, like me lol!
