If you have always been an inquisitive type and were always puzzled about things, you might be interested to know that Delta Air Lines has come up with an innovation meant to stimulate the imagination of its customers and help them pass the time. Especially if they are on a long flight.

The flight company has recently released a new iPad app that features one interesting property. Running the app will provide travelers with a “glass bottom jet†experience allowing them to see where they are flying to and how fast they are doing so.

Tune in to see your plane flying over the map. The app will point out some of the important landmarks you’re passing over and is also connected to social media. For example, if a friend of yours has checked in a bistro in Paris and you are flying over that location, you will get notified and will be able to see it. The Fly Delta app also comes complete with destination guides, online check-in and a feature enabling you to construct your schedule after-flight. Also, from the app you will be able to acquire your desired Economy Comfort seats and book trip extras (such as Wi-Fi or priority boarding). The Sky Mile functionality will also be updated from the app.

Delta also provides an iPhone app. The latest features Passbook functionalities and was developed by AKQA.
