Difference between individual and company development?

Can somebody tell me the difference between signing up at Apple as a individual developer or as a company? The fee is apparently the same, but are there benefits of signing up one way or the other?

Frankly, it seems to me that signing up as a company woud be better, so I can use a developer name, maybe get a domain name for it, and maybe add others to help the effort later, if I want. Is there something I'm missing on why I should NOT sign up with a company name? Do you have to actually be incorporated or something?

(By the way, I started my first iPad app last night. I don't have much working yet, but it IS working.)

HI

We signed up as a company, from what we experienced there were a few more hoops to jump through but I guess no real difference other than the registration process.

The introduction of iPad creates new opportunities for application development using iOS. Because it runs iOS, an iPad is capable of running all of the same applications already being written for iPhone and iPod touch. However, the larger screen size of iPad also means that there are now new opportunities for you to create applications that go beyond what you might have done previously.
This document introduces the new features available for iPad and shows you how to use those features in your applications. However, just because a feature is available does not mean that you have to use it. As a result, this document also provides guidance about when and how you might want to use any new features in order to help you create compelling applications for your users.
