Difficulty with Kensington KeyFolio Pro 2 Keyboard

I am unable to get my function keys on my Kensington KeyFolio Pro 2 Keyboardto work as indicated in the User Manual. The sound function keys work, however the other function keys either do nothing or adjust the brightness of my iPad screen. Anyone have any suggestions?

I contacted Kensington and they informed me that some of the function key capabilities were eliminated when I updated to iOS 7. They were very helpful but I am disappointed that the upgrade cause a reduction in capability of my keyboard.
