dim screen on safari

I can't remove the grey dim screen on safari while surfing
what can I do?

Some sites have advertising windows that pop up as soon as the site finishes loading. They have to be dismissed before continuing. All too often Safari doesn't display these right. It looks like the browser has dimmed, but what is really there is a semi-transparent window covering the entire viewable screen.

If you scroll to the top you can usually see the faint x in a circle that will allow you to close the widow.

And if that does not work, it is probably something else and I have no idea how to help you.
