Does Ipad1 keyboard dock work with Ipad2?

My IPad is only few months old, so I don't intend to upgrade. But am interested in buying the keyboard dock for typing faster. Can anyone advise if this will work with the Ipad2 as well if we get one as well?

I don't see why it wouldn't since they all plug in the same way. I don't know if apple will come out with a new keyboard, but it should work with the old one just fine.

Wait on the dock. While the connector would work, the thinner iPad 2 may not be as securely seated.

I'd recommend a bluetooth keyboard anyway. It is far more portable, and you are not stuck using the iPad in portrait mode when you want to type.
