I go to download a file from megauploads it goes to download but I dont know where to look to find the download folder any help would be great

Unless you jailbreak you can't download files on an Ipad from a webbrowser-internet site

Actually, there are free apps that let you download content from the web like OPlayer or MyMedia. They can store files, play some or several media files and make them available for exporting. They have their own web browser which let you browse the web.
