Total novice on iPad, have an iTouch ....

I own some movies (concerts really) that I would like to install on my iPad. These are legit, store bought DVD's
I did a quick Google on the subject and came up with some websites that suggest there is software that I can use to convert the DVD to a format which I can install presumably through iTunes

Your comment, advice is welcome and appreciated

Download Handbrake (free) to convert the DVD's, then add them to iTunes and synch with the iPad.
