How do you download a movie off the Internet to ipad2?

Im assuming u can do it once uve jailbroken ur ipad. But idk how u can point a movie-playing-app to it so u can play it. Does putting the downloaded file in the directory of the app make it possible for u to play the file then? Can u even find the directories of each app once JBed?

Download the movie, convert it to mp4 (I use handbrake ) , add it to your iTunes Library, sync.
