Comp has been changed for this first round. It is now about who can be the first to breed a Leap Year




Dragon. The rules are:
  • We are open for entries now. Entries close as soon as we have confirmation that the LYD has been released.
  • Competitors will be attempting to breed a Leap Year Dragon, expected to be released shortly.

  • Competitors will post a screen grab of their screen showing the time remaining to be less than 29 minutes.

  • The adjudicator (me) will visit the islands of the fastest poster(s) to verify the coin/gem/food count as in the picture and that eligible parents have created the selected dragon breed. This doesn't seem to be as important, as it's a brand new dragon, and we will all know when someone gets one.
  • The first person to post the correct picture in this thread and be verified by the adjudicator will be awarded first place.
  • If we have enough competitors to allow for second places and beyond, these will be judged in the same way, and awarded to those who finished in the next successive fastest time(s).
What's at stake?
  • Competitors agree to "wager" one of their free gifts to enter the competition.
  • Competitors agree to send their free gift as instructed by the adjudicator.
  • Up to 6 entrants will be a winner take all.
  • 7 to 12 entrants will be a 70/30 split, rounded to the nearest gem.
  • 13+ entrants will be a 50/30/20 split rounded to the nearest gem.
  • The final prize pool will be posted in this post prior to the start of the competition.
How do you enter?
  • The competition is open to everyone who agrees to abide by the rules.
  • Entry is open from now till we have official word the LYD is available to be bred.
  • To compete simply post a Dragonvale Screen grab, similar to the one above, in this thread.
  • All competitors names will be added to a list at the bottom of this post.
Suggestions:
Obviously you need to have a breeding cave available, so time your breeding accordingly

For me the post a picture Icon is up above this quick reply box next to the boxes to change the format of the font.

Same here. I think people will have to email themselves the pic then upload from their desktop.

I have heard mention of an app for reading this forum?

It's just called ipf. Free download from app store.
I also had trouble attaching piccy. I use iPhone.

If you follow these, you may only be able to see them once you've clicked on the message, you should see what to do. The + sign sends you to the right place. It's at top rhs beside send.

OMG, Thanks so much Hazel, I have been racking my brain, trying to figure out how to attach a photo, thanks so much for researching how to do it.
 
Well it's good to know we can atleast post pics with the app as long as we can figure it out. Lmao. Thanks Hazel! I haven't installed i t yet but I wonder if you can just look at your latest posts to find the threads. I will probably only use it for posting pics because I would rather use safari for posting everything else.

On the first page I just type in dragonvale and hit the search button. I'd like a shortcut or a bookmark option but can't find one.

Yay! it work.

For iPad user you will need to download photobucket from the app store. Than you will be able to insert image using URL as shown above. Photobucket will email you a welcome email with instructions.

Yeah I don't have an option to type anything. Just a list of things to click on in ... in a foreign language.

The opening page is iPhone-fan.de Is that the correct one? It's the only thing that looked close when I searched ipf.
