Mine does it all the time, and always has done. One if the most irritating things about the device. Seen many forum threads on the subject, but no solutions. Apple doubtless aware, but are so smug and complacent that I doubt they will do anything to address it. A situation that will perpetuate as long as Apple has it's adoring and unquestioning fanboys. Amusingly, and typically for them, my ipad has auto-capitalised the word apple. Like it wasn't around as the name of a popular fruit before S.Jobs.....
