E-mail disappears

Last week I had a problem with my I-pad e-mail. I was right in the middle of a long e-mail and suddenly everything disappeared and it wen back to the desktop. I reopened the mail but there was no saved draft. So I powered down the iPad, because this seems to solve most problems. However, it did not. So this has has happened four more tmes. I know I could continually save it as a draft so I don't lose everything when it happens. But it is a pain. Friday I took it into the Apple store. Their solution? Return it to the factory settings and wipe I clean! I lost everything, but was able to restore all my apps from the iCloud. In dong this i updated the software too. But it has not solved the problem. I was halfway through an e-mail this morning and I lost it all again. Has anyone else had this problem? How did you resolve it?

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

I have had that happen to me a couple of times but what I do is close the app completely by doing the four finger swipe up or double press the home button to reveal your multi task bar along the bottom. It will show all the apps that you have opened at one time or another. Long press one of these apps until they start to jiggle and red minus signs will appear above them all. Press all the minus signs, this will close them, not delete them. It's a good idea to do this regularly just to keep them all running smoothly, I do mine every night. This will normally solve it if not I do a restart and if it still plays up I'll do a reset. Hope this helps.

We also have our own App - It is a very simple app to navigate.
