e mail folders

hello,

was really hoping they would address this in ios 6, but i dont think that they did.

any way ofmhaving Folders for different email categories for msgs received so that you could sort them. every other email program i know of does. Any way to ?

If your e-mail is an IMAP or exchange account, see this thread for details on how to create folders in your Mail app: http://www.ipadforums.net/new-membe...sistance/60856-extra-folder-mail-account.html

However, if your account is a POP account, then you can't create (or use) folders on the iPad. All you can do is talk to your ISP to see if they have plans to update off of the POP protocol - or if there is another way to access IMAP protocols. Unfortunately, this is a problem for your ISP - not a fault of the iPad.

If you have an exchange a/c and a POP a/c, you can set the POP inbox to be combined with the Exchange one on your computer. Then you can move POP mail into other folders. The combined mailbox will appear on your iPad and you can move mail the same as on your computer.
