Email remnants

Hi
My emails were piling up so I decided to clean up. When I deleted them into the dustbin, I was left with a remnant of the email which says 'No sender, No subject, and a date 01/01/70'. I now have dozens of these messages and I don't know how to get rid of them. Can anyone help please.

I had (still have on occasion) a similar problem. I find that after emptying the trash for that mail account the 'no sender' items have vanished once I open the inbox again.
