I have just got a ipad2 wifi, is FaceTime free service or is there a cost, if so whats sort of cost will I have to expect?

It is free. But it can only be used over a wifi network. It will of course use some of your wifi data tariff (but most people have more data allotted than used). Skype works very well over a 3G network. Good luck.

Just to add. If you use it at home on your own wifi network, it's free. if you use it in public or on a 3G network ther is a charge (others here will know more about this)

I use it a lot at home, and in the studio. Both are wifi, both mine. It's great though...A fast Broadband connection is good, walking around the house with the cameras going to show the kids is fantastic

FaceTime is a free service, but it only works over Wifi. If you try to connect via 3G, it gives an error message.

So if you wanted to video chat via 3G, then would have to use a different app, such as Yahoo messenger, or Vtok (for gmail video calling), or as mentioned before Skype.

Is a Video Chat with. an iPad2 and a netbook possible?

What App./ Programm do i Need for the netbook?
