Faster transfer than SSH?

So I'm trying to transfer a massof mkv files to my friends ipad (about 12gs worth). Is there a faster way to transfer them instead of having to wait 3 hours through winscp? If possible, is there a way to transfer using USB as it is faster than SSH, or transfer the files from PC to ipad as if it was an external drive/flash drive?if so, what is the SSH directory for the drag and drop into the ipad if it acts like a flash drive?

There is a way, but it takes a guru about 30 min to get it set up. And if you have a N wireless router then wireless will be much faster.
