Final fantasy 3 on iPad- how to save?

Downloaded fatal fantasy 3 game and realised that I couldn't save game.
So I had to start from the beginning. Anyone can help?

You can quick save at any time. But to do a normal save you have to be walking around in the outside world. You can't be in a cave or city or dungeon.
