Finally a member of the "apple" world

This weekend I become the happy owner of an ipad and am now a "newborn" apple user.
This is my first ever apple product, and next month I'll be getting my iphone as well (thanks Sprint!)
Dont know a whole lot about my ipad (I got the ipad1, off craigslist).
Any direction or what not to do or what to download would be appreciated.... and any direction on the site I would appreciate!
