Flip Video and iPad

Can Flip Video be loaded directly to the iPad using the Camera Connection Kit; or does it require conversion to another format and loading through iTunes?

Thanks. Looks like the files can be uploaded to the iPad, but cannot be played without conversion.

A little extra work, but doable.
