None know if there's an app or iPad feature that can protect a folder in the iPad? I don't wanna put a password on my iPad, I just don't want my kids accessing certain apps or games that I play on my iPad.

AFAIK that's not possible without a jailbreak. IIRC there is a Cydia App that allows you to do that.
