I have an App called Anniversaries on my iPad Mini that I love. It has family names and dates on it that pop up seven days before an event to remind me about it.

I also have an iPad Air.

Is there an easy way I can copy that app to my iPad Air and not lose that info on the Mini?

I have tried doing this through iTunes without any luck. Maybe it cannot be done.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks.

Kadee

Hi Kadee - give us a link to your Anniversary app - are there options to save your data elsewhere (i.e. rather than your iPad)? Is there a 'sync' option for other devices? Many of these apps will sync automatically on a Wi-Fi network (wife and I have shopping & video apps that permit that function along w/ others) - Dave :)

If you go to the App Store and type in "Anniversary" , the Anniversary Calendar by SoftBrothers will pop up. I entered all of my special dates and would now like to put that same app on my other iPad, but for some reason I cannot do it. My iTunes lets me sync both iPads, but still I cannot transfer that app to one more iPad. It shouldn't be that difficult. Thanks Dave.

You should find the app in your Purchased list in App Store. As far as I can see, it won't sync between devices. You'll be able to restore from a backup, though. This would make both iPads the exactly same.

The best idea would be to contact the developers. They'll be able to tell you if it will sync, or what exactly to do.

Hi again Kadee - I just put the 'free' app above on my iPad - in the 'Menu' selections, your calendar can be exported as either HTML or as a 'csv' file, which could serve as your backup; BUT, I see no import option nor a 'wireless' syncing choice.

So, once you get the app onto your iPad Mini, I see no way to transfer your calendar to the other device - now if there was at least an 'import' feature for a 'cvs' file, then that would be a solution; of course, the best would be automatic syncing via Wi-Fi.

SO, I agree w/ Johanna, i.e. contact the developer which is also an option in the 'Menu' selection. Dave :)

Try this.

Export the cvs file and email it to yourself. In Mail on your other device, tap/hold on the attachment. When the list of apps show up see if your app is listed. If it is, choose it and with a bit of luck the file will be imported.

If it doesn't show up, then I've just wasted your time.

Good suggestion TP - I deleted the app from my iPad, guess that I could have emailed a csv file to my wife, put the app on her iPad, and gave it a whirl? But we'll let the OP try out your idea - I'm dubious, however who knows.... Dave :)

Make a backup of your iPad mini in iTunes. When you back it up you will see icons of your apps in iTunes in the apps section. Plug in your iPad Air, drag the Anniversary icon to the iPad Air logo. Its just like transferring other media like music.
