Hello to all!
A bit of background on how I ended up here - After much umming and ahhing about what device to buy I have finally decided - an iPad! A 2nd hand (perfect condition) 1st gen 16gb wifi to be exact. I was in the market for a portable something that I could use for note-taking for college, entertainment, gaming etc. I didn't want to buy a laptop as I already own a PC and don't really have the need for another computer. A netbook nearly would have sufficed, but when I thought about it, they're too slow when it comes to PC programs more than net surfing and simple word processing. But a tablet's apps are specifically designed for its OS and run a heap faster. Not to mention I was completely sucked in by all jailbreakin has to offer.
Anyway, I bought the iPad plus ZaggShields, dual car charger and ZaggMate w/keyboard for under $430 which I thought wasn't so bad. It should arrive in a week I'd say (US to Aus). This iPad should hopefully give me a good indication of whether I want to upgrade to the iPad 2 in another 6-8 months and whether 16gb is enough and if I feel the need for 3G as well.
Enough rambling from me, glad to be here though!
