Getting book transferred to my ipad

I downloaded a book from my regional library to Adobe Digital Editions. It was supposed to give me a link when i connected my iPAD via USB to my PC. I heard the connection but no link. It was an adobe e Pub file which is compatible..Any suggestions???? HELP!!!

I am sure you have found the answer by now but here goes anyway. I had to open itunes put the book in the book section there sync my ipad and wala it was where it needed to be.

How do you put a book in the book section of I tunes from the iPad?
