Gmail Question

For some reason Gmail doesn't remember my password. I have reset it 4 times now. I am running out of passwords.

Delete the account and reinstall it. Usually this should solve a lot of email problems.
 
Just went into Settings and deleted account. Went to add account and no options for Gmail.went to other and kinda got lost between in coming and out going mail. Please walk me through it.

Go to the "Mail, Contacts, Calendar" tab in your Settings app. Then, or n the right side, select the line "Add Account." You should then see this:

For a Gmail account, select the "Google" line and you'll get this:

To fill it out -

NAME: What you want to show as your name on emails (your return info)

E-MAIL & PASSWORD: Your Gmail address and password

DESCRIPTION: Your description of the account so you know which one it is

And, that should do it. Once Google verifies your e-mail and password, you should be good to go.

Followed all of the above and said account verified. But when I opened gmail said ID or Password incorrect.
 
Did you perhaps enable 2 step authentication for your Google Account?

If you did, you'll have to go to your securing settings in Google and generate an application specific password. You will need to do this for most apps that link to your GMail account, at least until the developers update them to handle the the two step verification token.

When I had my iPhone replaced I banged my head against trying to get Mail set up again, until I remembered this.
 
No need to do the above yet. Gmail now works on ipad with new password.But it does not work on the imac. Don't know why it did not sync.
 
Well, as on the iPad, all you can do is delete and re-add the account on the iMac.

If you are using the email sync feature in iTunes, I recommend turning it off. This only syncs the account info, not the emails themselves. I'm a bit wary of it, for no particular reason I suppose. It just seems like something else to go wrong when it really isn't that much trouble to set the accounts up individually on each device and computer.
 
Until the next time it breaks, of course. Just like everything else computer and internet connected. ;)

Glad its working. Hope it stays that way for you for a long while.
