* built in To Do list with Calendar
* no iTunes!

Better sound quality, to bring it up to par with competitors like Cowon and Sandisk.
And a smaller price tag.

EDIT: Oh and high definition, non DRM tracks available on the Apple Store.

They did not say no iTunes, but you do not have to go into iTunes on a PC to sync your account. I think that is a good thing, but you still will have issues with needing a wifi connection for large files because the phone carriers will balk at huge downloads through 3G. Download sizes will still be an issue, even with wifi, for those who have slow internet conections, but will be easier to go to a location with fast wifi when needed.
