I got a free 16GB Wifi only iPad....and for the life of me, I cant figure out what benefits it will give me. I hate the fact that any good apps that are available, you have to buy just to try them. I am an Android phone user, and yes, there may not be as many apps available on Android yet, but I can atleast try them...I have an iPad Ican use at work, so this one is still sealed in the box....
thinking it may find its way to Ebay.....

It isn't true that all the good apps are pay. There are MANY with a free version that you can upgrade. There are also many great apps that are always free. I don't know what sort of app you need, but be more positive!

If you really don't want it, send it to me!

Pretty much like looking a gift horse in the mouth

300,000 apps available and probably most are free. If you do not need to check your e-mail, cruise around the web or use 150,000 apps then you need to consider buying a book or something more 17th century.

don't you worry. It is true even for the PC. You end up using only maybe 10 programs, and all the rest is not very useful . There are thousands of programs for iPhone/iPAD. Most of them are oure junk, so don't be impressed from the numbers.
And..
If you have nothing to do with it - SALE it and buy a nice watch

i posted, for some insight on what I can do with it, and if there were try before buys. I like the idea of it, bit on the other hand, limitations without having Flash, but if I want flash like output, I need to buy an App to do this....I dont read, I surf the web, but im on a pc all day, and I can only take so much of the web...the only thing I find it really convenient for is my corp email, so I dont have to log into webmail...

I just wish there was a easy way of finding the free ones. At the android store they have a tab where you choose paid free.

I like the convenient shortcuts to tv schedules, timetables -www shortcuts :)- mail, PDF reader, IM.

You can pull up the app store in iTunes on your pc or Mac and on your iPad and there is a free apps part, doesn't list them all but gives a nice list.

you can download "appshopper" app from itunes for free. It will give you apps that are free for a day .

Lol at everyone attacking him/her. The App Store is a mess, and its ok to admit it. Marketplace on Google isn't much better, but Android has Appbrain.com which is an AMAZING site and allows you to push apps wirelessly to your phone or tablet.

To the OP, I recommend jailbreaking the iPad and using it to stream media using Air Video. I also have a Android phone and prefer the Android platform generally, but have found a few uses for the ipad. AirVideo is awesome. Browsing the web using Safari is annoying, but Atomic Web is a great alternative when it works. There are some great games for the iPad, but they are generally ALL paid, and the prices are outrageous when you are used to Android prices.
