I got a 16gb 3G iPad about a week ago. I've killed the battery nearly everyday so far.

unfortunately, I have some wifi issues so I might have to get it replaced.

whats the wi fi issues? anything we can help with ?

I travel weekly and i noticed that my wifi speeds aren't up to par with my other wifi toys, namely my mbp and iPhone. I'll get 10Mbps on the mbp and iPhone but only 0.5Mbps on the iPad. the upload speeds are all about even though.

I searched pretty thoroughly online and everyone seems to be fixing their own home routers. I can't do that since I'm not with my own personal router most of the time.

Verify that you have the latest os installed as that is suppose to fix issues. Even if you purchased a week ago does not guarantee the latest os was installed
