Having problems restoring my iPad2 with iTunes

Hi,
So I have a password locked iPad 2. Unfortunately, someone's got it disabled. Seeing my old laptop's broke I haven't synced the iPad with my new one, so I don't have any back up on of my files etc. So I've been looking up ways to restore it, and thought I got it, but no...
On all the explanations I've looked at iTunes provides them with a simple 'restore' option, but this is what happens with me:
I'm starting to get really desperate, just want to be able to use it again! What can I do?

Can you elaborate on a few things?

1. someone's got it disabled? What do you mean?

2. Are you looking for ways to restore it from a backup you don't have? Or restore it to a blank/new iPad state?

Someone tried to get on it for so many times that it's been deactivated, because they got the password wrong.

On that screen you need to click on Retore IPad. I'm not sure why you are baulking at that.

I believe that the best, and most honest, advice I can give you is to take 'your' iPad, with proof of purchase to an Apple Store. They will get it going for you.
