Sound is only coming out of left earpiece on my iPad

Have you tried a different set of headphones to determine if the problem is a defective set of headphones or a defect in the iPad itself?

Also, have a look in Settings-Accessibility-Audio/Visual and make sure you haven’t accidentally moved the balance control to one side.
