Download the CNN app for example. You can quickly scroll through all the current stories to choose what you want to view rather than waiting for them to be shown in CNN's order on TV. Saves tons of time.

Gotta ask... what was your motivation for buying an iPad?

My wife knew I was interested in the iPad. But I never was "I gotta have it!" So she gave it to me for Christmas. Right now, I am treating it as a "toy". It is a little more convenient to check mail, play some games and surf the few websites that I like to surf. I actually lay in bed at night a little and catch up news and other stuff.
