Hi all,
Just wanted to say hello to all the existing members of the forum. I just ordered a 3rd-Generation iPad 64GB, and I thought it would be a great idea to join the forum. I am an avid Apple user, in fact, I am a Certified Apple Technician, so I hope to offer some solution to any issues that may come up.
Currently, I am looking to build a NAS (network drive) in my home for my iPhone, iPad and Macbook Pro to gain access to and share files. I am aware of several offerings from Seagate, Western Digital etc. but I am not sure about their speed/reliability. The fact that they offer Apps that support the ecosystem is promising, though.
I am thinking of doing the following:
> Purchase an ASUS RT-N66U Router
> Purchase a WD Live 1TB Ethernet based drive
> Use WD2GO App when necessary for iPad/iPhone
As crazy as this sounds, I am forcing myself to get rid of all professional photography equipment in the house, and I am doing a project for one year of "iphoneography", during which time I will only use my iPhone and iPad to photograph, and I will complete all of my editing on my New iPad.
Does this sound like a feasible option for me?
Thanks!
