Hello everyone.
I'm a long time PC user (got my first PC in '86) and am trying out my first Apple product, an iPad 2. It took a little getting used to at first (only being able to view/work on one app at a time) but once I let go & just let the iPad do what it does best, I've been enjoying using it a lot more. Its focus on running one app at a time keeps it humming so well that I've been using my netbook less, though I still need a PC to view websites with Flash content from time to time.
Over the decades, issues with PC hardware & software had become infuriating. So given Apple's strict control over hardware & app content, I was expecting (hoping really) that there would be little or no problems while using Apple's products. Thus I was a bit bummed when various apps (including iTunes) crashed or locked up the iPad - just happens more than I thought it would.
All that said, the iPad is a LOT of fun to use & I'm learning more every day. Best regards everyone & hope I can help others (especially PC converts) in the future.
PS: Gabriel1 & leelai - I've noticed that one of you posts forum rules, hints & tricks to new member's first thread which I've already read but feel free to post them here as well.
