HELP: reset my used ipad. now what?

i got an ipad out of pawn. it was filled with 14 gig worth of wank itune songs, so i did a hard reset. now all i see when i turn on the ipad is a usb cable going to a itunes icon. i run OS10.4.11...have i just murdered my ipad?

It's acting like a brand new iPad and, like a brand new iPad, it wants the initial synchronisation with iTunes on either a PC or a Mac. So connect it up, it will synchronise and - if you want - transfer all your contacts, calendar appointments, music, movies, email settings etc and then you're good to go.
