Help with MP4 video file from email

I have sent an MP4 file to my gmail account that I access from my IPad. When I press and hold the icon, I get the SAVE button, but not an option to direct where to save the file to, nor can I find it on the IPad.

Can someone tell me how to save this file into the VIDEO file that is on the main screen of the IPad?

Are you accessing your gmail account using webmail (Safari) or the iPad's Mail app? In any case, you'll need an app to be able to play the mp4 file. Most Members seem to recommend OPlayer. Then, when you hold the icon, you'll be offered the option of 'Open In OPlayer'
