Help with WMV FILES

I have an iPad 2. When I receive a .WMV file I cannot play it on this device. I tried downloading a WMV player app but it looks like I need to have a gmail acct to use it. What am I doing wrong?

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

Are you receiving this WMV file by email? It's just a case of pressing on it and selecting to Open In and select the app you have for this. I use Buzz Player, which one do you have?
