Hi.
Have you updated to the latest OS?
Once I had trouble that the iPad would not verify a Hotmail account, but would verify a Yahoo account.
After a lot of frustration the iPad suddenly verified the Hotmail account.
Since then I have had not trouble with any account.
Sad to say none of that helps you.
You may have to go to an Apple store
