What's new

Hi from Vermont

Just picked up an iPad and am starting to learn how to use the thing, and stumbled on this site. I confess I'm writing this on a laptop though. Gimme time and I'll come around...

Hi Vermont - have vacationed in your state (actually a trip that included upstate NY, Ft. Ti and New Hampshire) - lovely!

Welcome to the forum! I've had an iPad 2 for nearly 3 years and nearly always do my posts on a laptop w/ a real KB - do have a Bluetooth KB for the iDevice which is a fine option if you plan to type a lot on the iPad - plenty of great folks here, so enjoy - Dave

I picked up a Zagg backlit keyboard / case with the iPad 3, and I'm getting used to the chicklet keys. Seems a great little unit. I'm hoping to work the iPad into my small town law practice, but I'm a bit of a Luddite; still use a yellow pad. What sold me on it was when I tried to find a deposition transcript analysis program for my PC - and found one for about $650. Then I looked for an iPad app and found functionally the same thing for $85, which is a King's Ransom for apps. It became a no-brainer - get the app and the iPad both for less and I was off to the races.

Well, w/ that KB/Case, then you're already setup to type nicely on the iPad - I have the unattached Apple BT KB and I bring it along 'on the road' (no longer carry a laptop) and also use the KB at home when I need to type in a lot of information (e.g. in Paprika, a recipe app). Hope to see you posting - Dave
