What's new

Hi - I'm a newbie

Hello everyone. I have just purchased an iPad and have been trying to learn how to use it. It is so much more difficult than a PC (Don't shoot me) that I decided to join the forum to learn how to use this.

One of the major things I wanted to use is the camera and to learn which app is best for touching up the photos and sharing them. On the iPad it is hard tofind where anything is. How do you save them? Where do they save (I can't find a way to do a "save as" where I can have place to choose a folder to put them in. Is it possible to have folders?

As you can see I am totally lost on how to get around this iPad. Can someone help me?

Hello! Welcome to the iWorld and iPF! Enjoy your time here!

Skitch and Snapseed are two of the best photo editors I have used. While Skitch is useful for pointing out things and blurring parts of pictures, Snaoseed is helpful for cropping and applying filters. A picture edited in Skitch can be further edited on Snapseed and vice versa.

Please ask whatever you want to without hesitation and our community of helpful members will surely help you out.

And yeah, we do not shoot anyone from here. We were also once new to the iWorld.

You will find all of your photographs in your Camera Roll, including screenshots which are generated by pressing and releasing home and power buttons together. The Photos icon on your home screen will take you there.

The iPad lacks a file system in the conventional sense. All files are associated with the app that produced them. There is a limited file sharing capability in iTunes. Your best bet is to ask questions as and when you encounter each issue. There is always someone here.

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

You can also create albums in the photo app.......you will see Albums along the bottom, press this and it will open to a new page where you will see your Camera Roll and also My Photo Stream (if you do have another device which will stream photos between the devices). Very handy if you have an iPhone as any photos you take on it will stream to this album when the devices are connected to the same wifi. Press the + sign top left and you will be asked to name the album, once done it asks you to select the photos which you want in this album. Be aware that these photos will still appear in your camera roll as the photos in your new album are more or less just a shortcut to the original in the camera roll.

You'll find a lot of other info below which will help you get better acquainted with how the iPad works. Enjoy!!
